The Watford Jazz Junction is a multi-venue live music festival running across Watford 12-19 May 2024.

Although a relatively new festival, we are already established as a festival with national impact and hold renown internationally - in no small part due to the quality of our productions and our artists.

2024 will be our third year, with more than 3500 people attending in 2023. 2500 of those attended our free to attend final day: Jazz Steps Around Oxhey Village. Around 90% of attendees hold a Watford postcode or live in the immediate surrounding area.

Our national reach is in the millions due to strong coverage on Jazz FM, promotion on BBC6 Music & BBC3 Counties, and across our various social media.

Our anticipated 2024 in-person audience across all shows exceeds 4000 expected to include our MP, Mayor, other civic and local leaders, residents & business owners.

We will print 1500 programmes, to be given out to attendees for free, including all 600 people at our Gala Opening Night Concert on 16 May at the Watford Palace Theatre, as well as throughout shows over our 5-day run.


We have full page, half page and quarter page programme advertising opportunities to suit all budgets from £150 to £500. Prices are inclusive and are frozen at 2023 rates.

We will be presenting more than 30 acts across 5 days at the Watford Palace Theatre, The Pump House Theatre and Arts Centre, Halsey Hall, 6 family-friendly pubs in our free-to-attend event 'Jazz Steps Around Oxhey Village' and on Watford Heath as part of our final day.


Our 2024 festival focuses on inclusion, with different celebrations noting the impact of Nina Simone, Blue Note Records and our local film & TV industries .

Our confirmed jazz and soul stars will be announced in January 2024 when tickets go on sale but are already confirmed to include house-hold names and the very best musicians working in UK jazz. It's why our partners for 2024 already include Jazz FM and Ronnie Scott's. 

We will also feature younger rising stars including past winners of the BBC Jazz Musician of the Year, Parliamentary Jazz Awards, Jazz FM Awards, and those who've trained with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and others who've been selected to participate in Serious's Take Five Programme - the global heavy weight producers of the London Jazz Festival.


Our programme is professionally designed in-line with our established brand by Hydes Lovelies, and is professionally edited by Dr Giles Newton, with further editorial written by Truth & Lies.

The programme is printed at A5 size in full colour with a gloss print finish, with content including a foreword, introduction to the festival, engaging editorial, as well as artist biographies and show profiles.

We have a very simple rate card with rates held from 2023. All advertisement are printed in colour.

  • Half page ad £275 (horizontal)

There’s no VAT, so prices are fully inclusive.

We do not offer design of the advertisements and we would request adverts are supplied as print ready PDFs/high res JPEGs (300dpi) with specific print sizes detailed below. Final artwork to be supplied by Friday 31 March 2024.

Invoices will be raised from the ‘Watford Jazz Junction CIC’ with payment to be received within 28 days from date of issue.



  • All files should be in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) version 1.3, preferred PDF files from QuarkXPress or InDesign using Pass4Press PDF settings. Or as print ready JPEG files.

  • All transparency and layers flattened.

  • Fonts should be embedded/subset and should be PostScript Type1, TrueType or OpenType.

  • CMYK Colour only (No spot / Pantone  colour or RGB colour).

  • Programme image resolution 300dpi.

  • Neither custom transfer functions nor custom halftones should be used.

  • Crop, Bleed and Trim marks must not be used, unless it is for a full-page advert.

Ad dimensions

  • Full Page advert with Bleed (trim size 210mm high x 148mm wide). Please add marks & bleed settings on export.

  • Half Page Horizontal (90mm high x 130mm wide). No crop/bleed or trim marks allowed.

  • Quarter Page Vertical (90mm high x 63mm wide). No crop/bleed or trim marks allowed.
